Holiday in the Park

This past weekend we headed down the road to Six Flags over Texas. Every Christmas they have Holiday in the Park, where everything is lit up and there are shows and everything Christmas! We had a great time with Jordan. We were happy it wasn't too cold.

Steve acting like he's about to get sick! Silly boy!
Steve is the dark blob on the left side in the yellow sled, Jordan is the blob to his right zooming past him!A little blurry, but Steve riding a big boot!

Rollllll Tide!

So, if you are an Alabama fan, we all know how big this past weekend was. The SEC Championship against the Florida Gators did not turn out in our favor, but the Tide gave them a run for their money and had a GREAT season! I'm so proud to be an Alabama fan, and glad I could go and support them in Atlanta. Steve is a HUGE gator fan and he was overjoyed. We'll do great in the Sugar Bowl, I know it! Roll Tide Roll!

The birthday weekend continues...

Jordan was with us for the weekend and we wanted to make Steve something really special! I wanted to make a candy poem, and it turned into a giant card. I thought it was adorable.

The blue and orange cake we made him!

Happy Birthday Steve!

Happy birthday to my Steve! We celebrated his birthday, last Thursday, at Victory Tavern Grille in downtown. We had never been there before, but it was fabulous!

Vote!

Today is a HUGE day! Please pray that the right leaders are elected into office as our President and Vice-President. The pastor at First Baptist Church in downtown Dallas gave an amazing message Sunday. He said that we are a Christian country and our duty as Americans should ultimately be to put a Christian person into this elite position. Also, in choosing a candidate for any position in any election, we need to ask ourselves, what is their stand on issues that really matter. For example, Commandment # 6- Thou Shalt Not Kill...where does the candidate stand on abortion? Commandment # 5- Honor Your Father and Mother...where does the candidate stand on marriage policies? A marriage stated clearly in the Bible, should be between a man and a woman. I know we are very busy people, but if you have time, please listen to his message.

Everyone should hear it! We will know very soon who is president, and hopefully American made the right decision!

P.S. Just throwing this out there, how can make a man our President whose middle name is HUSSEIN! Doesn't make sense to me.

Waiting...with candy corn!

As Jordan and I were waiting for Mom and Christopher to get on Skype, she loves talking to them on the webcam, the bowl of candy corn was sitting behind us. I turn around for one second, and this is what I see when I turn back around! Silly goose!

We drew lips on a piece of paper and taped them to her. She thought it was hilarious!

She looks cute..I just look like I have dirty teeth!

Any Blonde Can Cook!

You seasoned cooks may giggle a little, but all you newbies out there will totally relate to my experience last night. I cooked a pot roast for the first time, and I am so proud of myself...it turned out GREAT! I had roasted potatoes and green beans to complete the meal. We scarfed it up! We were bad, there were no leftovers. I just had to tell everyone. : )

~Frustrated....

Boy, am I frustrated! This might sound silly, but leaving my camera at home upsets me terribly. : ( Steve and I ventured to Jordan's school carnival yesterday at her school. I would have the cutest post right now with adorable pictures of the little munchkin, but...silly me forgot the camera. Uggg.. She had her face painted, her hair colored with polka dots, and we all had a great time playing games and eating candy and such. Too bad...maybe next time! Just trying to vent a little. I'm done now.

Learning more and more...

Dad and mom came to visit us to bring the rest of the wedding gifts and all my stuff, and they also brought us a present! The book His Needs, Her Needs. They both highly recommended it, so I thought, why not give it a try. I have really enjoyed reading it. It has put a lot of things into perspective for me, and explained situations in such a different way. I'm not even halfway throught it, and I look forward to keep on reading. If you haven't read this book yet, please at least try it out. It's great! Another book I picked up at the Lifeway Christian book store a couple blocks down was Pray Big for Your Marriage. This book is great too! It emphasizes the pinpointing of prayer and how essential it is to pray everyday for your spouse! I'm almost finished with it, and it really makes you think everyday on different aspects of your marriage. It's fabulous too.

Cookies with Jordan!

Jordan spent the weekend with us and while Steve was watching his Florida Gators, we decided to bake homemade sugar cookies with colored frosting! We made such a mess, but had a blast. I swear she is 6 going on 18! She's a doll, and so smart! We really enjoy having her around, and are planning to have her around a lot more. Unfortunately, she has no Christian influences around her daily, so when she comes to stay with us, we have this amazing responsiblity to be the best example we can be. Pray for us!

Eagles Concert!

Steve and I had the opportunity the Sunday we got back from our honeymoon to attend a concert! We got to see the Eagles! It was such a great night out, and it was a nice ending to our fabulous honeymoon. I have to say, we were probably some of the youngest ones there, but we had a great time!

Our 1st Apartment!

We live right downtown now, and it's fun and exciting! There are tall buildings everywhere around us, and we're just right in the middle of things. Unfortunately, we will be here for only about 6 more months. We're going to move closer to his work and my school. Right now, we're just enjoying the high life... (we're on the 25th floor!) Enjoy!
